Before
After
Before: The Original Poster Map
In the initial version of our app, users encountered a broad yet somewhat cluttered map display. Key features included:
Post Count Display: Users could only see the number of posts in an area but couldn’t view individual posts.
Limited Map View: Posts were shown only within a highlighted area around the user, with no option to explore a wider region.
Large Data Clusters: Posts were grouped into large clusters (e.g., 1,219 posts in one area), making it difficult to find specific content.
Limited Interaction: The map offered minimal interactive options, making it harder to engage with individual posts or authors.
Minimal Filtering Options: Users had little control over which posts they could see, with no clear way to filter by time or author.
After: The New and Improved Poster Map 🗺️
After carefully analyzing your feedback, we’ve introduced several updates to improve the experience:
Enhanced Visualization: The new version features a more intuitive and visually appealing interface. Posts now include images, creating a richer browsing experience.
Improved Post Clustering: We’ve refined how posts are grouped, making it easier to explore specific areas without information overload.
Increased Interaction: You can now engage more easily with individual posts. Tapping on an avatar or post image provides more details, fostering better engagement with content creators.
Advanced Filtering Options: We’ve added filters like “All,” “Followed,” and “My Posts,” along with time-based filtering and an option to see posts from nearby users. This lets you customize your feed and focus on what matters most.
Localized Focus: The map now zooms in on a more local level, helping you discover posts and authors nearby. This makes it easier to find local events, recommendations, and community updates.
Expanded Map View: You can now explore posts across a wider area with full map navigation, giving you greater control over the content you see.
Your feedback continues to shape the Poster app, and we’re excited to keep improving based on what matters most to you! 🚀
